Worship virtually and celebrate our Lord’s resurrection at the Diocesan Easter Vigil service, streamed on Saturday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m.
Following the order of service and liturgy found in The Book of Common Prayer, the Vigil consists of the Lighting of the New Fire (with the chanting of the Exultet), the Renewal of Baptismal Vows, the Liturgy of the Word, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. The readings as well as their respective musical responses and collects will be pre-recorded by churches from across the diocese, but the remainder of the service will be streamed live with Bishop Jeff Lee serving as the officiant and preacher.
Cathedral musicians Daniel Koplitz and Lee Erickson are joined by mezzo-soprano Jennifer Jakubowski and the Rev. Jana Troutman-Miller. Musical responses at the Liturgy of the Word are provided by St. Paul’s, Milwaukee; All Saints’, Milwaukee; Trinity, Wauwatosa; St. Andrew’s, Madison; and Christ Church, Whitefish Bay.
