All Saints’ Cathedral Organ

Original Cathedral Organ built in 1966 by Tellers Organ Company of Erie PA.

In 1966, Virgil Fox performed two standing-room-only dedication concerts for the Tellers Organ, which had 31 sets of pipes (ranks) and a two-manual (keyboard) console in the rear organ gallery.

In 1999 the Schlicker Organ Company of Buffalo, NY, renovated the organ, providing:

  • A different three-manual console was relocated to the front Cathedral Choir.

  • Solid state controls.

  • A preparation for six additional ranks of pipes.

This project was made possible by the gift of Sue Joys and Marshall Pepper.

In 2016 an organ completion project and funding campaign in honor of the Cathedral’s 150th Anniversary Year 2022-2023 was launched by Organist and Choirmaster Canon Joseph A. Kucharski.

During 2021-2023 Cathedral Organist Lee Erickson designed, acquired, and tonally finished the additional 14 ranks of pipes. Organ Builder David Broskowski installed the new solid-state relay components and console stop control board. Organ Builder Ryan Mueller refurbished the three ivory and ebony 61-note keyboards and a 32-note wooden pedal keyboard. The organ is completed and has 45 ranks and 2,264 pipes. The 2016-2023 Cathedral 150th Anniversary Pipe Organ Project was made possible by the generous donations of individuals explicitly made for the organ project.
