Save the date for the Great Hunger Book Sale 2023: August 3-8, 2023.

Opening night: Thursday, August 3: 6-9 pm, $5 admission fee

The sale continues with free admission from Friday, August 4 through Tuesday, August 8 from 11 am to 6 pm daily!

Since the start of the Hunger Book Sale, we have donated over $570,000 to help feed the hungry in our community. It has become the largest used book sale in the Greater Milwaukee Area. These were the 21 donations made from the 2022 Hunger Book Sale proceeds for a total of $24,000:

• 4 free meal sites: (The Gathering, Capuchin Community Services, Open Door Café St. John’s Cathedral, and Summerfield Methodist Church)

• 7 agencies that include food programs or distribution: (Interchange Program, Hunger Task Force, Jewish Community Pantry, Rescue Mission, Neighborhood House Food Pantry, and Kinship Community Food Center)

• 7 local organizations with food-related costs: (Sojourner Family Peace Center, ARCW: Now Vivent Health, Repairers of the Breach, Cathedral Women’s Center, MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary, Milwaukee Guest House, and Our Next Generation Homework Club)

• 3 charities fighting world hunger: (Episcopal Relief and Development, Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee’s Haiti Project, and the Newala CMM Sisters Orphanage)
